Welcome to Vietcer — a marketplace platform for buying and selling licensed software accounts and online services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your information when you use Vietcer's services. By using our services, you agree to the terms set out in this policy. We collect the following types of information: Account information — full name, email address, phone number when you register an account. Transaction information — purchase history, payment method (we do not store full credit card numbers), and order details. Social login information — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from your Google account. Technical information — IP address, browser type, device, pages you visit, and access time. Communications — message content, support requests, and feedback you send us.
We use the information we collect for the following purposes: Processing transactions — confirming orders, fulfilling deliveries, and processing payments. Account management — creating and maintaining accounts, verifying identity, supporting password recovery. Service improvement — analyzing user behavior to enhance platform experience and features. Notifications — sending order confirmations, delivery updates, policy changes, and promotions (you can unsubscribe at any time). Fraud prevention — detecting and preventing fraudulent activities and service abuse.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes. Information is only shared in the following cases: Payment processing partners — we share necessary information with payment gateways (e.g., Web2M, VNPay) to process transactions securely. Sellers — name and necessary contact information to complete your order. Legal requirements — when required by competent state authorities under Vietnamese law. Rights protection — when necessary to investigate fraud or protect the legitimate interests of Vietcer and users.
We apply appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information: SSL/TLS encryption — all data transmitted over the network is encrypted using SSL/TLS protocol. Secure storage — data is stored on secure servers with strict access controls. Password hashing — passwords are one-way encrypted (bcrypt), we never store passwords in plain text. Security monitoring — the system is monitored 24/7 to detect unauthorized access. However, no method of data transmission over the Internet guarantees absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account password secure.
You have the following rights over your personal information: Right of access — request to view the personal information we store about you. Right to rectification — update or correct inaccurate information through your account settings page. Right to deletion — request deletion of your account and related data (note: some data may be retained as required by law). Right to restrict processing — request to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances. We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience: Necessary cookies — maintain your login session and shopping cart, cannot be disabled. Analytics cookies — collect anonymous data about how users use the website (Google Analytics). Marketing cookies — display relevant ads on external platforms. You can control cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling necessary cookies may affect website functionality. We also use browser localStorage to save your cart and wishlist.
When you choose to sign in with your Google account, we receive information from Google based on the scopes you have agreed to: your display name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We do not receive and do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, search history, or any other sensitive data. The authentication token from Google is used once to create or sign in to a Vietcer account and is not stored long-term. Our use of information received from Google complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use Requirements.
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide services and comply with legal obligations: Account information — retained for the lifetime of your active account. Transaction history — retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by Vietnamese accounting and tax law. Access logs — retained for 90 days. Data after account deletion — information will be deleted within 30 days, except data that must be retained as required by law.
